Sim 2 crashes or doesn't respond when launching.

Sim 2 was working perfectly fine on the launch day for 2 hours - no crashes. Next day, I can't seem to load up the game without giving me a dialog of 'terminating game' or it just doesn't give me a dialog and sits in not responding in my task manager. 

I've uninstalled and reinstalled, repaired, turn my pc on and off. Still crashes :( 

Anyone know how to fix this?
