Sim voice audio extremely low quality

there's a really low quality to the voices in this rerelease that wasn't present in the original game. it sounds like the voice files were run through an audio cruncher and had their quality dropped ...

    Hi all,

    This issue was resolved in today's patch:

    • The Sims’ voices could be of low quality
    • The Sims’ voices could be very quiet

     

    If you're still experiencing this, please create a new thread so we can continue to investigate.

super sorry for the wait, i've been struggling to get the game to open (my fault, i tried to put in a lot of cc i used to use). i've attached two videos below, listen closely and you should be able to tell what i mean. the voices have a robotic hiss to them that's especially noticeable when they're saying something that has an S sound or a SH sound in it. i'm videoing elder sims here but it does happen with other ages as well (i tested it with don lothario and dina caliente in pleasantview not long before i made this thread)

let me know if you would like me to record more examples.
