Before the most recent update, my Sims 2 game never crashed. However, after updating on 2/28/25, the game crashes after only 20 minutes of playing. Additionally, no error messages or warnings pop up before the crash, it is always sudden after loading into the household. I have no CC or cheats enabled, so I do not know why I am experiencing this and I am not sure what to do now. Any help would be appreciated!
I have the same problem but my crash is after 2 mins of game play. I have no custom content or mods
try to use a repair tool on the steam game's propriety ,so tell me what changed
I been spending last two days going through my Downloads folder I am up to 80% and know on my end it has to be cc/mod because I took out the Downloads folder and played game "vanilla" and it had no crashes what so ever, my advice is create a new Downloads folder and make sure you check in every folder as I FOUND 3 zipped files in one folder, no idea if that would affect game but so far in my testing no crashes for 45 minutes with every check so far.
Does anybody have a fix for this yet? My game has been working fine since the latest update but today I went to play and my game crashes when I try to enter one specific lot. I don't get an error, it just goes straight to my desktop. I've tried messing with graphic settings, deleting cache, and repairing the game through the EA app with no luck. It's weird because it's only one specific lot, I can play others just fine. I use no mods or cc for TS2.
The same here. It is soooo frustrating. Error log always say Audio errors.
I also noticed that the game randomly crashes right before initiating a loading screen since the last patch. There are no errors. I'm just back to the desktop with EA App immediately.
Same. I am very CC heavy, but this most recent patch has almost rendered the game unplayable.
Mine also crashes after 20 minutes, I've checked with Hood Checker if any issues, its clean, I am currently doing 50/50 mods check to see if anything shuts it down but as you can imagine it is a slow process. Thing is I haven't added any new mods in over a month at the very least so no idea what the issue is.
