Sims 2 crashing suddenly after recent update

Hi Cade,

I don't have a path like that in either my C:\Users drive or my installation drive.

There's no EA Games\The Sims 2 Legacy\ folder in C:\Users\<username>\Documents.

I have [installation drive]:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 2 Legacy, but there's no Logs folder in there.

My game crashes either after the introductory sequence finishes or if I click during the introductory sequence to bypass it.

It just goes back to my desktop.

Hi Cade, I was able to upload my logs into a Google Drive and hopefully you can see the link now. The game just turns off without an error:

So, where are we with this update that's supposed to fix this crashing problem? It's been like this for two weeks, and no one's done anything. No official message, no announcement...

Very good question. I managed to stop the game crashing by removing the audio from my game but the crash just started again as before without an error message. I've had other bugs in the last 1 week: game lag during a game, the butler standing around doing nothing. 

New update is massively helping 2+ hours no crashes. Keep it up! TY for all yall do!

I have the same problem, I barely use CC. It’s also notorious for crashing when my sim turns into a werewolf, leaving for a community lot, saving at a bad time (like too many cars out front or transitioning from night to day). No warning just straight back to desktop. 

EA_CadeHi Cade, I figured out what the problem was! I had downloaded CoolSims Female Hair 92 into my game and it was making it crash! I did the 50/50 method to narrow it down and now since I've removed it I'm experiencing no issues 😀

Same! It’s driving me insane and I’m about to give up on playing after 20 years. The screen rotation has also changed - why change things that are working?
