Sims 2 Issues Still Occuring

Paid $60 for the game and even spoke with someone from EA support. Running the game on the lowest settings and still gameplay is freezing. Gameplay interaction not working and Sim is resetting. Funds not working, gameplay crashes. Update done today and the same things are still occurring.
