sims 2 multiple crashes need help

so i really need help i am new to sims 2 i am a sims 3 and 4 player although i own all of sims 3 ive always had major lag and crash issues i have decent set up so am really annoyed but that is another days problem. I started a sims 2 save in belladonna cove 2 sims and a dog i got the dog a job; a couple things trained commands say all are trained and dog doesn't actually know commands, every time the dog comes home from work game crashes same place every time, so i saw a fix to quit the job while dog is at work and he never came home said no dog in household even though picture was still there in UI so i decided to play household next door get to know them and invite them around see if i could get the dog back but it didn't work so i continued to play household till i figured  out what to do decided to take household on vacation and saved while i was there i logged out. now wont load the household on vacation went to my original household the dog is back i quit the job still cant train her but i am invested in the neighbors and i don't know what to do please let me know what i can do .. 

also if someone wants to help with my sims 3 problems .i cant load all the packs when i do i might get 1 or 2 days play if i log out at all it will not load back in before crashing also 1hr rea1 time might be 10 minutes if that of gameplay its so laggy. I've been dyeing to play through island paradise and world adventures but its impossible with how it runs 

so if anyone has advice fixes and or cheats and mods to help out please let me know
