Sims 2 Won't Load
After installation, everything was fine. I even played for 10.9 hours (Note: I bought Sims 2 on Steam). Now, when I open it on Steam, it gets stuck on the family loading screen (I'm not sure what it's called). I terminated the game through Task Manager, then tried opening it by clicking the desktop icon, but the issue persists. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance! (Additional note: My laptop is running Windows 11).
Update: I’ve tried opening it three times, but the same problem persists. I even let it load for an hour or two, but it stayed on the loading screen and never progressed. I can’t follow some of the suggested solutions I found online, such as right-clicking the desktop game icon and changing it to Windows XP compatibility, probably because I bought it on Steam.
Other notes: I installed the game on my D: drive (525 GB free storage) and have 9.94 GB of usable RAM. 64-bit Operating System.
Bugs/Glitches encountered so far:
- NPC dogs got stuck on the lot and wouldn’t move.
- Occasional movement glitches when using the house sauna.
- My Sim’s car was forcefully replaced with a new one after visiting a community lot, and while they were driving home, the car disappeared, leaving my male Sim visible without it
