Sims2 Legacy. Sims can’t use objects

Honestly, I had no idea how to title this. They fixed the eating glitch but now I can’t relax on a bed or get in a hot tub. My sim just snaps right back to standing beside the object. Game also has more lag/freezing moments than before. Anyone else got any idea how to fix this? First my sim waited in purgatory waiting to finally be able to eat, now she can eat but I can’t expand the family because she can’t use the objects!
