Stuck on Loading Screen When Travelling Outside of Home

Hey, is anyone else having problems with community lots since the most recent patch for Sims 2 Legacy? Whenever I send my household somewhere now the game is stuck on the loading screen and I have to go to task manager to close the thing, then load up the house again and cancel their visit. I wondered if it was something to do with my graphics settings but I've tried everything and still no luck. Everything I searched up has said to remove CC but I haven't had the game long enough to even download that... If someone has an answer or knows if this is a common issue that needs to be reported it would be much obliged. This game is really fun and I'm happy it's more accesible now but I want to be able to play it properly :p
