TS2 Legacy - can't travel anymore without infinite loading screen

Hey everyone, I'm having an issue. When my Sims go on vacation I get stuck on an infinite loading screen trying to go to the hotel. After a while I hear music and sims talking, but I'm still stuck on the same loading screen and can't do anything. I got the following error:  'An error occurred in Object 'Controller - Lot Transitions'' #265 . I went on this forum and saw that the solution was to delete my Neighbourhoods folder, however even after doing this I still keep getting the same error.. 

I also get this issue when trying  to go on a date on a public lot. It's really frustrating because I just want to play and at the moment and its impossible to play because I can't leave my own lot. I don't have any mods installed and my Onedrive isn't synced with any folders (I don't use Onedrive) I also cleared my cache files, that didn't help either.

What might be the issue? And how do I fix this? Anyone else having these problems?
