Havent been able to play my game for months now. Ive tried launching the game through different ways but the launcher is refusing to appear now, all it is doing is becoming 'unresponsive' . My ea app is completely updated, i have no mods installed, ive tried repairing my game. Im playing on a mac that's up to date on software updates, have never had any problems running the sims 3 on the ea app or before on origin.

esme10101 As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you open the launcher, if it opens, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just see whether you can get far enough to start a new save.
If this doesn't work, repeat the test but with your computer offline. You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi before pressing Play.
