Yes, try to run the game. See if you have the same issues without the folder there. Play a test game.
I find out the problem... I'm experiencing some conflict with the Seasons expansion.
All that I have installed, and only when Seasons is installed the game start lagging.
I don't know if there is any solution for that, but I'm really sad about it, love that expansion...

I don't have any ideas truthfully. That expansion pack can be demanding because of the weather going on all the time. Perhaps Ceejay will have some ideas when she comes around again.
