A serious error has occured..

I'm losing my mind here.. I've been trying to download and play sims 3 and change settings and everything at this point! But no matter what I do, I still get 'A serious error has occured while downloading 'sunsetvalley.world' (it happens with EVERY world) please restart your game'... I am losing my mind.. my computer is an Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 i9-14X/16/1TB/4060/240Hz 16" gaming laptop. I just bought it, and can't play my favorite game.. I'm literally crying right now.. please help me
