Can’t download CC

Stuck trying to download cc to my sims 3 on Samsung laptop. Watched YouTube videos and done everything right down to the mods folder etc but it’s still not showing up in my launcher in the downloads section to download it into the game?

    blazeabud  Sims 3 custom content comes in two forms.  Files that end in .package go into Mods > Packages, and these do NOT show up in the launcher.  Files that end in .Sims3Pack go into ...The Sims 3 > Downloads, and once they're there, you can install them through the launcher's Downloads tab.

    In either case, make sure to delete the five cache files after adding any content to your game.  For reference, they are:

    • CASPartCache.package
    • compositorCache.package
    • scriptCache.package
    • simCompositorCache.package
    • socialCache.package

    Thanks, so am I right in saying once I’ve done that if the cc I’ve downloaded ends in .packages and doesn’t go in the launcher will it just be in game?

    Hi! i tried everything but my cc's not showing in the game. I even tried to select ''unblock'' button. Nope still not showing. Can someone help me?

    CriyinGhost  Your Mods folder is inside the game's program files.  It needs to be inside Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3.  This is the user folder, as in, the folder that contains saves and all your other user-made or downloaded data.

    Hey! First of all thank you for helping. But i don't see any the sims 3 folder inside electronic arts. It only has EA Desktkop folder. Is something wrong with it? I can re-download it.

    CriyinGhost  You're looking at the Program Files folder.  The Electronic Arts folder here only contains data for the EA App.  You need to open Documents instead.
