Can I change my graphics settings via DeviceConfig.log file?
Hello everyone!
Lately I've been having an issue with my game's graphics card. I had to launch my game since July. And since then I had my graphics settings set to AMD.
Today I wanted to launch the game and it launched normally. I realized my game settings have been reset to an 800x600 resolution. Music on. Time reset to 24 hour form. I changed it back and the game can load normally. But the gameplay looks borked.
I can hardly see the gameplay world and looks like it's foggy or some sort of. Sims look brighter without the old AMD settings. And I don't like the way it turned out and reset. I want to change it back to AMD and I'm tired of waiting more than a month to get my settings reset back to AMD.
I see on the "DeviceConfig.log" file my settings changed from AMD Radeon R6 M445 to Intel HD Graphics 620. The crème de la crème is that I did NOT update the graphics cards settings. I was away for the game for 2 months and this absence I had reset my game settings.
Is there any way I could change my graphics card from Intel HD Graphics 620 to AMD Radeon R6 M445 via the DeviceConfig.log file without getting any error messages?
I don't want to go vanilla or start a new folder!
Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.
EDIT 1. I have Windows 10 - 64bit. 8GB of RAM. Intel HD Graphics 620/AMD Radeon R6 M445 video cards. An Intel Core i5 processor. 1TB of HDD drive.
