Cant add Sims 3 files to Origin

When I got my laptop I bought EA something because it prompted me during set up and it gave me sims 3 and sims 4. I have the files for them but how do I get them to work on origin launcher because th...

    @AverageOneUp  Did you perhaps buy EA Play or Origin Access?  Those are the new and old names of the EA subscription service, and a membership would have allowed you to play both Sims games while it was active, but not once it expired.  Then your account would list the games but not let you play them, saying you needed to renew the subcription.

    If you don't see the games at all, please dismiss all filters, using the icon in the upper right corner of your Origin game library.  If that doesn't make a difference, it's possible you originally downloaded and played the games under a different Origin account, in which case you'd want to recover that account to figure out what happened to your games.

    Even if you don't remember the details of that account, you can try entering any email address you have in the Origin sign-in window and clicking "Forgot your password?"  Any address attached to an Origin account will (should) receive a password recovery email; be sure to check the spam folder as well.  Once you've found the account that has or had the games, you can go from there.
