Cap fps?

How to cap fps in steam version? Vsync on nv control panel in game set to 60hz still runs mad fps. Tried windowed/ full screen no difference.

What's going on ? Settings in nvcp should have fixed it, but nope.

Only other way is reinstall gpu tweak, but I don't want to do that.

Is there a command line that could fix?

Cheers!

@Eeekey  The frame rate limiter in Nvidia driver doesn't seem to work correctly anymore and ATI (AMD) never had a limiter. Everyone I know is running a third party application to limit the frame rate. You also have to take into consideration the display device and the way it is connected.

@Eeekey  There are a couple of free limiter programs out there. I don't use one as my monitor is a 42 inch Vizio tv connected with a HDMI cable. It's a 1080p with 120 refresh. Over heating of the video card is problem. As you didn't post the frame rate your getting or the temperature of the card it is hard to recommend anything. I have not had an over heating issue so I do not use a limiter. I have used Rivatuner in the past. There is MSI Afterburner (never tried it). As graphics continue to get more complex it's hard to say if these programs are keeping up with the advances. Again you have to look at the whole system and see what your specs are. Running a good bench mark program (3dmark) and checking the frame rate and temperature is a start. Nvidia has been working on a hardware solution but as of now it only supports one monitor that I know of and only support display port. Like I said it depends on your hardware. To answer your question there is no cli for frame limitation that I know of.
