u7fsosndm1jl Is OneDrive running on your computer, and if so, is your Documents directory in OneDrive? Right-click the new Sims 3 folder (that replaced the one you moved) and select Properties > General, then see whether OneDrive is in the file path (Location).

Pausing syncing while you play is an interim solution that might work for you, but it generally isn't enough for OneDrive-related issues. However, most of the reports I see are not about the issue you're having, so I can't say how it would work for you.
