"Connection to server has been lost"

I just had this issue and fixed it.   What I did was uninstall all my EA App games (just me being thorough) but specifically Sims 3.  I, also, uninstalled the EA App.  Then, out of absolute paranoia that there was a lingering issue, I went ahead and made sure the EA Games and EA App folders were deleted on my computer.  Then, restarted my computer.  Downloaded the app again, then Sims 3.  Can't recall if I went ahead and repaired the games to be thorough. BUT, that worked.
