Continuous Fires in Sims 3
In the household I've been playing recently the stove caught fire. I call the fire department, extinguish it, get the insurance money, and then another fire starts in the same spot. I put it out, and the same thing happens again. I replaced my stove and it still happened so I shift clicked it to delete it and now the floor catches fire? Not sure what to do, it's anywhere from every 5-20 seconds apart and I can't really play my household anymore because I saved the game and reloaded it thinking it would go away. It didn't, of course. I know the fire has officially gone out about twice because I got the insurance money twice. Not sure what to do. I'm running the Sims 3 with Generations, Seasons, Supernatural, and University Life. Please let me know if you can help by chance.
@abbdy If you use mods, specifically NRaas MasterController, click on the ground of the lot and select NRaas > MC > Reset Lot.
If you don't use mods, go to Edit Town, evict the sims, save the house to the in-game bin, bulldoze the lot, place a fresh copy of the house, and move in the sims. As long as you don't save the sims themselves and replace them with a new copy, they'll keep their jobs and relationships, but they'll lose any promised wishes and opportunities. You'll need to time this just right: after you've put out the fire but before a new one starts.
