Hello all! I'm having a pretty complex issue that is preventing me from playing TS3.
To start, when I go to play my game I cannot. It loads through the startup video etc but then once it gets to the World menu it says that there is no disc. My laptop recognizes the disk and I can see it on my desktop (macbook pro) and I can load other discs without issue.
I have tried several remedies:
- Complete uninstall and reinstall (TWICE)
- ejecting and inserting the disk multiple times and reloading the game
- ejecting and inserting the disk during the startup load screen
- running without CC
- running without store content
- deleting files from the sims 3 folder on my laptop
- Made sure the game is up to date.
So, because none of these worked, I found out that I could download the game from origin and just put in my serial codes from the physical packages. When I went to do this, it says the code has already been used (the games are registered to my TS3 online account) I use the same email to login to both TS3 online and for Origin, but they have different usernames. I cannot remember the security code to try to link the accounts (I don't even know if that is possible)
Now I am at a loss of what to do. I have a pretty extensive collection of TS3 and in my opinion, there are not enough TS4 expansion packs out yet for me to take the plunge($) from TS3 to TS4.

As for the issues with Origin, you need to contact EA customer support and have them look at your account - http://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/
