does anyone have any ideas about why the computers freezes up during the game?After a while it will start again .

no it does not and i don't know why neather. yes even after i save the game it still freezes

Yes, but if you make yet another game in DV, choose a premade family, do you have the same issue (you don't need to existing one, it's just to find out if it's the world or that particular savegame)
