Dragon Valley Won't Download

Specs: Macbook Pro, OS Mojave, 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7, 16GB Memory, Intel HD Graphics 4000 Sims 3 Version 1.67.2.024001 Ambitions, Generations, Late Night, Pets, Seasons, and Supernatural Expansion...

    @FallThruStardust  Sorry it's been a while, but this issue has been a bit stubborn.  I borrowed a computer running Mojave to test, and I had no trouble downloading any of my store worlds.  (That doesn't include DV though.)  The same is true for the EA community manager who tested, and he could indeed download DV.  On the other hand, another Mac user with Mojave couldn't download anything from the store.  We're still trying to troubleshoot.

    In the meantime, another player found a workaround and was able to download Hidden Springs.  (Here's the thread.)  The approach is to launch the game and go to the Main Menu, then sign in.  Click on the three dots in the lower left corner, and select Open Downloads Dashboard.

    You'll see a list of everything you own, or perhaps just the items you haven't installed.  (I tested on a clean game folder, so there was no store content at all.)  If you see a particularly long list of items, you can click on the Item header (in the red box), and the list will appear in alphabetical order.  Use the arrows (green box) to navigate.

    Dragon Valley should start downloading and then install on its own, at which point you'll be able to choose it from the dropdown menu.

    And please let me know whether this works or not.  It's fine for me, but then I can download everything the normal way, so I'm not a good test.  Either way, we still want to find a way to fix the problem.

@FallThruStardust  I suppose the issue could be due to the store patches not being present in your game folder.  Normally the content downloads anyway or throws an error in the browser, but I don't know how Dragon Valley specifically behaves.  (I don't own it.)   The patches used to be offered by the launcher, but maybe a year and a half ago, that changed.  They're part of TS3's program files on an install that's patched to 1.69, but the Mac version of the game only goes to 1.67, so there's no way to download them from EA.  Please see this thread for a workaround:

It's best to get rid of your new game folder, clear Firefox's cache again, and have the launcher open before pressing Download, just to eliminate all other potential sources of the issue.

If this doesn't help, I can ask someone from EA to look into it, but it will probably be a couple of days.

If it takes a few days, I don't mind.

Honestly, I should concentrate on getting some work done. I would just like to utilize my game that I purchased sometime soon.

Any further replies are wonderful and thank you for the suggestions you've given me so far.

      This was the perfect solution. I started the game, made sure I was logged in, clicked the 3 dots for the download menu and there was Dragon Valley! I’ve installed it and now it’s running!

      Im floored that it was so easy after so much hard work previously, but thank you for spending the time on this and giving me a work around.

      Thank you! And I’ll remember this for any future store download issues, just in case.

        @FallThruStardust  Thanks so much for confirming it worked.  Hopefully someone will figure out what the issue is, but in the meantime, it's great to know that there's a workaround available.
