EA App acts like I don't own Sims 3 (EDIT: until I logged out and in again)
I moved over to the EA App a few days ago. Everything moved over fine except for The Sims 3 Showtime. It was still installed on my computer though, so I just tossed an error report and left it at that.
This morning its acting like I don't have the Sims 3 at all. Not the base game or any of the expansions. I literally played it through the EA App last night no problem. My files are still there, I can still play the game by opening the Launcher manually through my computer, but the EA App is acting like I don't own anything regarding the Sims 3 and I need to buy it all.
I used codes from physical boxes to move my Sims 3 stuff over to Origin and maybe that's the problem. I've still got the boxes and can provide the codes to prove that I own the Sims 3 and all the Expansions if necessary, but I've been playing the Sims 3 via Origin for years now.
EDIT: Launching the game manually through Program Files made the base game pop up in my Installed Games and Collection sections, but the EA App still insists I don't own any of the expansions.
EDIT 2: I logged out of the EA App and then back in to see if that would solve anything. It did! Everything is back in the App now, including Showtime and the Sims Medieval which I didn't even notice was missing this morning. I'm still leaving this post up because this is still a pretty annoying bug and other people might find themselves having the same problem.
