[Error Analysis] Sim can't return home

-Are you using mods or did you do so before installing UL ? NO
- Are you playing a game you started before UL or did you start a new one ? PLAYING WITH GAME I STARTED BEFORE UL
- Are you playing with a fresh Sim or did you import one from the library ? PLAYING WITH SIMS I HAD ALREADY BEFORE UL FROM A FAMILY LINE.
- Were you able to go to graduation or did all go wrong before ? DID NOT HAVE A GRADUATION TERM ENDED.
- Are you able to invite friend/family ? N/A
- Did Sims you invite attend the graduation ? N/A
- Do you have any duplicate Sims in your relationship bar ? NO
- For how many terms did your sim go to Uni ? 1 or 2 ? MY SIMS WERE ENROLLED FOR 2 TERMS.
- Try to describe as detailed as possible what happens:
I enrolled 3 Sims from a previously saved game before UL for 2 terms for university. Their term ended at the same time. They were at the Student Union Center when I got the message saying that is was almost time to return home. The automatic interaction tabs came up when it was time for them to leave. The each travel back to the dorm they got in the van and another message popped up saying that if I wanted to return back to university I would have to do so from a computer or phone. Went to the Traveling Home loading screen. Got to Sunset Valley (hometown) and nothing happened. It was just the main screen create a household, choose a household move in a household. I clicked on the household of the family that the 3 Sims belong to and in their relationship panel the pictures are dark. Suggesting they are still at University. I will go back to my last save point and start where I left off and see what happens. But if there is anything you can suggestion please do.

I went back to my last save which was 4 days before final and the end of the term. Still the same thing happened. I cleared all the cache and package files.
