"Error during start up..." - Windows 10 Creator's Update

Hi all,

I recently purchased The Sims 3 base game, High-End Loft and Late-Night. All are activated on Origin and installed through Origin.

Every time I run The Sims 3 through Origin, the launcher gives me an error "There was an error during startup. Please see the Log for more details". I have never been able to get passed this error.

I firstly installed the game on my Windows 10 Anniversary update laptop that currently runs The Sims 4 (and works perfectly fine). So thinking it may be clashing with TS4 and knowing I was due to upgrade the laptop to the Creator's update of Windows 10, I freshly built the laptop with a Creator's update disc.

The error is still happening. I have tried everything the internet says and nothing has worked.

Here are the specs of my laptop:

OS Version: 10.0.15063 build 15063

Processor: Intel Core i5-6200U CPU @ 2.30GHz, 2401Mhz, 2 Cores, 4 Logical Processors

RAM: 16GB

Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 520

Free Space on HDD: 182GB

Like I said before, I have never had a problem with TS4.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
