Eternal download Sims 3 Medieval

Hi!I just bought the Sims 3 Medieval and i can't download it( when it's start for a while it's shows that all GB have been already downloaded and than it's shows up a title "downloading" and everything start since the beginning( I have already cleaned cache.I ll be very happy if someone help me with this stuff!!((

  • Please clear the EA App's cache again:

    https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

Then restart your computer, and create a new folder into which you'll install Sims Medieval.  The folder should be on the root level of the drive, e.g. C:\Games is fine, but not C:\Program Files\Games.

If you use a third-party antivirus, disable it before trying to install the game.  As long as you don't do anything else at the same time, your computer should be safe.

If this doesn't help, let me know whether the drive you're using is internal or external, and if external, what format it has.  You can see this in Disk Management; hit Windows key-X to see the option to open it.

      Hey!
I also have the same problem. Whenever its fully downloaded it automatically starts with zero mb again. There is no error message it just restarts the download automatically. Also I only use an internal drive. I followed all your advise about the cache, anti virus programs, restarting the computer, choosing a new folder etc. but the problem just doesn't go away. Do you have any advise for that? Thank you so much!

      • BexMC98  Please do all of this together, at the same time:

        • Uninstall the EA App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine), and restart your computer before reinstalling the App.
        • Create another new folder on the root level of your drive into which you'll install the game.
        • Disable your antivirus, temporarily, before trying to download the game.
        • Run the App as an admin: right-click the desktop shortcut and select "Run as administrator."

      Hello,
I have the same problem and none of the above tips help. The Sims 3 and The Sims 4 are downloaded without any major problems, but The Sims: Medieval is not, my playing hours and the last game have been reset to zero. Regular memory clearing does not help, including changing the installation folder. Can I ask for other alternative options for help?

      Thank you in advance!

Senerateles  Does your computer have multiple drives, and have you tried installing the game onto a different drive?  Is the drive you've been using internal or external?  And if you use a third-party antivirus, did you in fact disable it while creating the new folder and trying to install the game?  I realize this might not sound like the safest practice, but as long as you're not doing anything else, your computer should be fine.

Please also let me know exactly what happens when you're trying to install Medieval, including a screenshot of any error message you get.  There are a number of download issues that look similar but are not the same.

  • You could try posting in the technical area of the sims 3 forums. You might get a faster response. If Sims 3 doesn't have a technical thread here, then I would post this concern on the HQ forums under sims 3 technical issues. I'm not the best person for this and I hope somebody with more tech. experience can help you. 🙂

They already got a response, and no, there isn't currently a TS3 tech section.  Additionally, on Answers HQ, Sims Medieval issues belong in Other Sims Games, not Sims 3, and downloading issues belong in the EA App forum.

I answered here because there's nowhere else to put the thread and no one else helping with these kinds of questions.

Yep, you can read my earlier reply

  • aniani3 97e249510c37f7f9  If you've tried everything in this thread, and nothing has helped, please try installing the game on a different computer, that is if you have at least temporary access to one.  This serves two purposes.  One, if the download works on the new computer, it establishes that the issue is something on the old computer.

And two, you could copy the game's installed files from the old computer to the new one, then "download" to that same location on the old computer.  The EA App may simply verify the existing files and complete the install process.

If somebody tries, could you please send an update about wether it works that way or not? Thanks in advance!

I finally managed to install the game yesterday. I did the following: While the game was installing, I copied the game files and pasted them into another folder. After that, I canceled the game installation and started it again in the folder where I had previously moved the game files. At first, the game also simply installed endlessly, but at some point (after 20 minutes or so) the download finished and the game installed.

  • If so many people have the same problem at the same time, do you think, it might be because there`s an error in the game itself?
