Expansion packs not recognized

I recently logged into this Origin account after many years of not using it to try and redownload the Sims 3 and many of the expansion packs. I believe that I had every expansion pack except for Ambitions and Pets, but when I went to download the game both Origin and the Sims 3 website only recognized four of the expansion packs. I know for a fact that I had the packs that I did because I still have the hard copies and disks and codes. How do I get all of my packs back? It's important to note that I tried to redeem the codes but the website has four boxes for four-letter codes but the code I have is longer than that. Also, my computer now does not have a disk slot.

  • @avaloren736  If you redeemed the packs on your current Origin account, they should be in your Origin game library.  When that's not the case, normally it means that someone redeemed the codes on a different account.  Whether or not you think that's what happened here, your best bet is to contact EA customer support.

It may help to provide a photo for each pack showing the disc, its case, and the insert with the code showing and legible.  While this alone isn't usually enough to put the packs back on your account, it may at least help a support rep determine what happened to your packs.  You can upload the photos when you submit the help request.

  • @avaloren736  Which website are you using?  If it's the Sims 3 Store site, you need to click "Register a Game," which requests a 20-character code, rather than "Redeem a Code."

Origin itself should accept your product  codes as well, that is if you haven't already registered them on a different account.  Open your game library, click "Add a Game" in the upper right corner, and enter the code.

  • @avaloren736 You can try to redeem your codes through Origin, by opening your game library -> Add Game -> Redeem product code.

If you want to redeem them on The Sims 3 website, use this link: https://www.thesims3.com/registeragame.html. It works the same and, provided that the code works, you'll get the game recognized both in Origin and on the website, so you can use either as long as your Origin and Sims 3 account use the same email address.

I had tried to redeem it on both the Sims 3 site and Origin. I had redeemed the codes for the expansions on this account years ago so when I tried to put the code in again it said that the code had already been used.
