Fridge action stuck

I'm not sure when this started, though I believe after I had to reinstall Sims and all the expansions, but now when I try and get an active sim to go to the Fridge to get anything, the action pops up, but then they just stand there and starve. When I try and cancel the action it crosses it out like they're doing the action already and carry on starving, and resetting them doesn't cancel the action. In the end I have to go into buy mode and delete the darn thing.

The weirdest thing is, if I click the stove or microwave, they go to the Fridge fine.😕mileymad:

UPDATE: And other sims not in the household can just walk up and get leftovers out too...

    Solved!!

    One of my old fridge CC mods (no shopping from fridge mod from Mod the Sims), which worked before but apparently now doesn't, was causing all the hullabaloo.

    Did you try moving the sims out and back in ? Does it work after replacing the fridge ? Are you placing it on the same spot or somewhere else ?

    I've tried moving them out and back in, removing my newest CC, replacing the fridge and moving it to a completely different room, but none of it works, and it's happening to all my other sims as well!

    see if the reset object cheat will work for you  to reset an object testingcheatsenabled true on then go into build mode and hold ctrl & shift and click on the fridge with the mouse and choose the option reset then turn the cheat off testingcheatsenabled false

    Ah see I tried that when I went in search of a solution before putting this up -_-

    The most annoying thing about all this, is that it took me 2 weeks to get Sims working after something fluffed up and I couldn't control anyone. It genuinely feels like the people of EA don't really want you to play this game with ease some times...

    Did you delete the mod or did you update it?
    I have the exact same problem and the same mod. I love that mod and would hate to have to delete it.

    If the mod has been updated to your patch level you can update it. If not, you can't use it.
