Game freezes like crazy

Hi,

Bought a new pc, high end, kicks .$$ so it's not anything with not meeting the requirements. The old pc ran it fine, never lag, never froze.

Installed everything from scratch, didn't copy any save games or anything.

First week everything pretty ok, could play for about 1hr, 1½ then it started freezing up for about 20s then came back and worked for 10s then the same thing again. I could live with that you don't need to play longer than that, life takes over.

But now, I can't even start playing!!! The game friggin' freezes, I've tried the reset sim and with everything else - WHAT?

I'm supposed to what hack my game to make it playable?!

I'm no hacker I'm a casual gamer!!! I need step by step dummy instructions and none out there works! Nothing unfreezes the friggin' game!

Anybody know if EA is gonna solve this now that the issue has been around for about four yrs??

Oh...not?! Ok then HELP!!!!

    Bridgeport is not working too well at the moment.

    There is a bug with the game where cars and limousines are not removed properly from the game when they are not used anymore. Since Bridgeport has so many stars, it starts to freeze after a while. It also has some bad routing issues.

    It's probably not playable without mods atm so stick to another neighborhood until EA fixes this bug (yet again)

    • Does this only happen on your existing game or on a new one as well (just for testing purposes)
    • What neighborhood are you playing ?
    • Are you logged in while you play ? If so, have you tried without logging in to see if that helps with the freezing ?
    • How far into your game are you (how many weeks ? Hover over the clock in the UI to see that info) ?

    Ok I'm running on an 

    i5 - 3570 CPU 3,4GHZ

    8GB RAM

    Nvidia GTX 670 4GB GPU

    Sims 3 ver 12.0.273.019017

    Showtime 12.0.273.015017

    Late night 6.0.81.009001

    High End 3.0.38.004017

    Playing in - Bridgeport, w 5, d 3

    Same thing when new sim, takes about 1hr of gameplay then starts to freeze, resetsim does - nothing.

    After w 5 this also freezes like crazy.

    Let me know if you need any more info.

    ok started yet another on starlight this time, played for four hrs never froze once...

    I'm having the same issue in Bridgeport.  I just installed Seasons so my game should be completely up to date and I know my drivers and DirectX are all up to date.  I have all of the expansions and stuff packs currently available.

    Custom (Built Myself)

    MSI 990FXA-GD80V2 Motherboard

    AMD Phenom II X4 Black Edition 955

    16GB Corsair RAM

    Sapphire ATI HD4870X2 Dual Processor 2GB video card PCIE

    6 Seagate 2TB SATA Hard Drives

    Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit

    I have learned one thing fromm EA.  Don't wait for their help, or you'll die of old age while you wait.  It may be a connectivity issue, but I am pretty sure it's a bug.  EA needs to learn to fix the stuff they have out now, before worrying about new add ons.

    I'm going to try starting a new game in a different town.  Maybe that will help.  Right now my single sim is travelling to China and it's still bogging down.

    From what I am hearing from this page is the sims ain't as good as I thought it to be.For the cost of the games you would believe they would be on top of this. 

      The sims company is as bad as everything else. Take your money and hide.

       And to think I have every single sims made so far,and they start this.

         Ain't anything worth the money- Yes _ its the people behind the products.

         Is there a solution out there?
