The incorrect/missing data can range from the OS & SPs installed to the system manufacturer, make/model, BIOS, Dx version, missing devices, the GPU's Dx capabilities like Direct Draw & D3D. From simply confusing to dangerously misleading.
The most consistent error is under the System Devices listings, all of the driver entries will show as: Driver: N/A. It ends up looking as if the mobo is completely missing all chipset/device drivers.

As if making heads or tails of a dxdiag isn't difficult enough, eh? Take a look through some of the dxdiags posted. If you see one that's completely full of System Devices > Driver: N/A, you'll know that's one of them. You sure do a lot of work on this site helping folks out. You're really good at it, too! If you think its useful just add that caveat into your help-posts about running a dxdiag. :robothappy:
