You're trying to do the Extract in your game data folders which I never recommend. I always recommend Extracting your content elsewhere. Trying to do all of this in your game files "WILL" slow up your game as these are the files the game reads/loads with. You don't want to game trying to read all of this extra crap. It is the same lesson I gave Drapes a while back in this thread. Apparently, I need to add a post section to this tutorial on how/where to download for Windows... Win7 in particular. I do appreciate all the win7 screenshots simmers post so I may just do that. :wink:
We need to put winRAR in the right place. Where did you download the winRAR application the "(.exe)" to run the setup to install winRAR? Depending on where you've downloaded that, I want you to uninstall then reinstall the setup where it belongs. Then we can go about setting up your framework for the mods properly.
Mine is in my Downloads folder as this is where Windows will want to place the downloaded application used to run the setup by default.
