3. You must have this folder in order to run the game. The path is the same for Win7 as it is for Vista I believe.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin
Still need the version of the game you have. You can get it from the launcher by hovering over the icons down in the left hand corner. But the skuversion.txt would be most correct. Actually, they both should match.
