Hi folks, I'm adding my voice to what seems to be a longstanding issue. I have attached a PDF with screenshots - it has a step-by-step of what I have tried already, if you could please not suggest the basics I have already covered that would be excellent.
So I can't access The Sims Forums - I haven't signed in to the forums in years and my forums account is not connected to my EA account. When I go The Sims Forums and sign in to my EA Account, I am prompted to connect my forums account to my EA account. The Sims forums account shares the same email address as my EA account but is not linked to it. However, to link them I am required to sign in using my Game Specific ID for The Sims. I have tried every password I can think of, including the current and previous passwords for my EA account - no success, and there's no option to reset password.
I would be happy to link my existing forums account to my EA account, or to just delete the old forums account altogether so I can start fresh using my EA account. I don't care, I just want a way to be able to use the forums. For now I might just have to create an entire new EA account - which is a bummer because it obviously won't be connected to my games or my email address.
I had a nearly 2 hour chat on EA Help and we couldn't find a fix. They couldn't find a way to change any information related to my account for The Sims Forums. The old account for The Sims is linked to my EA account somehow as my EA account information shows the Game Specific ID, I just can't connect to the forums.
