Java script error doesn't allow expansion pack to see orginal Sims 3 game

I can not log into sims 3 online because I keep getting multiple Java Script errors.  I have been able to play sims 3 off line, but now I have an expansion pack and it does not think I have sims 3 on my computer so it will not install the pack.  I can not make it go online to register and I can not make the expansion pack see the game.  So how do I get it installed???  I got the Sims 3 off Steam.com and the expansion pack at Target.

    you can't use disks with steam nor origin with steam steam versions only work with steam origin and disks work together  you can do it the other way around use the steam key in origin but you'll need to uninstall the steam version

    also make sure java is up to date and flash player and if your getting looping while trying to register on the account try clear the internet cache and or switching browsers if using safari,opera or chrome try IE or firefox
