Something went wrong during the download process when attempting to download content from the Sims 3 Store, and now the launcher keeps crashing.
I decided to uninstall the game and then reinstall everything, but even after that, selecting downloads still causes it to crash if there is anything in the downloads folder. This happens with both official and cc Sims3pack files.
I suspect there must be something I missed when uninstalling resulting in it not actually being a fresh install of the game, but I've made several attempts now and still haven't figured out how to get it work properly.
