@SethWolfbaine First it doesn't matter what browser YOU use, the game uses IE. Whenever you enter thesims3.com site and then enter the store you HAVE to re login. When you change your password the process is complicated as far as the EA computer system are concerned and it may time some time to complete this action. I would recommend that if changing your password word once did not fix the problem then changing it again most likely will not fix the problem. At this point it is hard to tell what data the site will acknowledge. At this point I recommend you contact EA customer service as they can research the issue - link - EA customer service

Im having this same issue however IE isn't even on my computer. Are you telling me I have to install IE to clear things that aren't even there? Makes no sense. I've done exactly what you've said on both chrome and edge those are what's on my computer. No luck

@Allana93Rose If you have Windows 10, you have Internet Explorer in there somewhere, even if you've never used it. So yes, please try clearing its cache.
If that doesn't help, try changing your password to something that contains only letters and numbers, no special characters, accents, etc. The launcher seems to not like & and ! in particular, but other symbols may also be a problem.
- 4 years ago@puzzlezaddict I do have Windows 10 however there is 0 trace of internet explorer on my PC. I've looked everywhere and nothing. The only two browsers I have are chrome and edge

On a Mac, having same issue where I can log into website and Origin, but the launcher changes my email to "null" and says please enter a valid email address (it's definitely valid and works on the ea website and origin). I tried clearing browser history in both Chrome and Safari (I guess the mac equivalent of IE), but no luck. I uninstalled / reinstalled, and same issue. Any idea what it default uses on a Mac anyone? Mac 10.15 Catalina - 64 bit Sims 3 game.

@ACMParks I believe the launcher uses either Safari or whatever the default browser is on your computer. Do you use any software that purports to clean temp files? Have you set your browser(s) to block cookies or certain kinds of trackers? In either case, the launcher might not be able to write to the location where it stores its data, or perhaps it can't even use the browser to validate your email address.
A (sort of) simple test would be to create a new admin account on your Mac and try signing into the launcher there. The new account should come with default user settings, although you might still need to temporarily disable any cleaner apps you normally run.

I'm having the same issue. Were you able to find a solution? Thanks.

@willvandy21 Have you tried changing your password to something with only letters and numbers, and clearing the cache for Internet Explorer? Even if you don't use it, the launcher does for some purposes. Be sure to uncheck the box to preserve data for favorite sites.
