Hi, I'm using Mac Origin. I digitally download the game and installed it. However, I realized that the launch window doesn't recognize that I have installed Island Paradise. The latest version shown on the window is University. I looked into Application and don't see Island Paradise icon either. I looked into Mac Origin and it's said that I have installed it.I clicked play. The sims window with green thingy on sims head pop up then nothing.I pressed play a couple of time and even reboot my Mac, but it doesn't launch at all. help?

Awww! Darn It! I am having the exact same problem too ☹️ I have Origin on the Mac and I downloaded Island Paradise and the 1.55 update and Everytime i click the play game button everything closes out. Idk whats going on but I better get some help on this soon!😕mileysad:

Yep me to installed new Island paradise on origin (mac) and the Sims launcher does not recognise it i have uninstalled all my expansions and re installed sims and island paradise and it still didnt work!! No idea what to do someone please help!!

Me too! digitally downloaded from origin, game icons are there but when i go to open IP it doesn't do anything and if i open through origin it says 'unknown error occurred'. It also now won't let me play any of my other sims3 games!
any help on a fix or workaround would be useful!

If you haven't updated to the newest patch (1.55), Island Paradise won't work (so I've been told be EA customer support).

for me It says " PowerPC applications are no longer supported" when i try to install Island Paradise of Sims3. i have a new ish computer and its up to date and ive got all the other games/expansions and im so angry i cant figure this out. please someone help me. i have searching for answers and no one can help me

hi...having similar problem as not able to get the latest patch 1.55 using game laucher for my mac mountain lion.When i tried to download the superpatch, an error 1 message pop out. Kindly advise.

I'm having the same issue. I began to download the game and it warned me "This game is not compatible with your version of The Sims 3" but I clicked 'OK' too quickly and it still installed. I figured it would be okay if I updated then reopened everything but it still does not recognize Island Paradise. I'm currently waiting for EA Support so we'll see if anything happens. I would like to uninstall Island Paradise and re-install but the Uninstaller does not seem to see it as a Sims 3 game.
I currently have Sims 3, Pets & Superstar installed.
