[MAC] My Sims 3 Launcher won't Open

I have a Mac, and just installed Showtime and Into The Future. Now, my launcher won't open at all and everytime I try it just say's "The Sims 3: Unknown Error Occured" . I tried litteraly everything! I'm just really frusturated right now, and annoyed. So I'll unload my problems on to you. 😕mileytongue:

Yeah, I'm up to date and I'm not really sure how much RAm my Mac has... 😕mileytongue: I don't have any CC or Mods in currently (I removed them so i could see if they were the problem a while ago). I didn't realize there was a Mac help thread! Thank you, I'll get back to you if it works!

    To find out how much RAM your Mac has, click on the little Apple logo at the top left hand corner of the screen and choose "About This Mac". The RAM is the number of GB of "memory" listed on the window that appears.

    I think that there are two possibilities. Either the installation from Origin was corrupted or failed somehow (that does happen sometimes), or else adding the extra expansions was successful but the game is now using too much RAM for your game to cope.

    See if any of the tips in the main Mac help thread help you. If not post again and let me know what you tried.

    Hello

    Let's see if we can get your game up and running. Can you provide a bit more info please. I'm going to bed now (it's late here) but I'll check back sometime tomorrow.

    Are you installing from discs or did you download the new expansions digitally through Origin?

    Do the games appear to have installed correctly (are the icons for the game coloured-in or greyed-out when you look at the row at the bottom of the launcher)?

    Are you patched up to date (1.67)?

    How much RAM does your Mac have?

    Do you use mods or custom content?

    Have you tried anything from the main Mac help thread:

    @moblehar

    The Sims 3 folder in your Documents folder is your user data (saves/CC etc.). There should be a Sims 3 folder in your Applications folder which contains the app and any EPs/SPs you have installed.

    Yes I figured that out, I found the info list and typed in the TS3W in place of S3 launcher and I had the same results. I've uninstalled the game currently I'm redownloading it again right now. Everytime I launch the game it freezes on the Blue screen with the green diamond thing in the middle. I need more suggestions/ tips, I've read all the help forums so far nothing is working for me. I really really appreciate any advice I can get

    I've also noticed that the game is taking longer than usual to re download.
