Go to documents\electronicarts\thesims3 and move the folder contentpatch to the desktop. Then restart the launcher and try to download the patch again.
Make sure the game is closed as well as the launcher when you move the folder.
Sorry moved content patch and opened launcher again. When I was asked if I want to download new patch and said yes. Still went to downloads but then nothing. only the stuff that I bought and downloaded before there. nothing else. This is the first time I experience a problem with an update!

DId nothing download at all ? The store patch doesn't show in the launcher after it successfully downloaded.
Do you still get the message everytime you start the launcher ? How big is the file you have in that content patch folder (you need to re-open the launcher for it to update).- Anonymous13 years ago

Yes tried just now and message still comes up asking me if I want to download.. Actually tried twice.

If you don't have the ContentPatch.package.bak then that is fine.
