There is no program files folder for my game in neither the regular folder or (x86) after updating my computer to windows 10. My goal was to edit the sims3.ini file to be able to record in widescreen and higher quality than default, but I'm unable to do that. My sims 3 documents folder does not have any .ini files either. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
@jaycearmando The file you are looking for (sims3.ini) can be found depending on how you installed the game. If you installed the game from Origin digital download and have a 64 bit Windows operating system you will find the sims3.ini file at c:\program files (x86)\origin games\the sims 3\game\bin. These are core game files and usually should be left alone. The .ini files in the user document may get rewritten every time you start the game. hth
