Your audio driver is outdated with a listed date of 2/2/2010. I suppose that you should start with the Dell homepage and update your audio driver from there, but I don't think that the driver offered for your Inspirion 17 (N7010) dated 7/22/2010 is recent enough to fix the sound bug. If that turns out to be the case, you will need to visit the Realtek website and download the Realtek High Definition Audio Codec Driver appropriate for your specific configuration. They offer a much more up-to-date driver. After following the on-screen instructions and successfully installing the driver, I recommend completely shutting down your computer and then turning it back on to ensure that the changes brought about by the new driver take effect. If you have the time, please let me know how things went.
Edit: Updated troubleshooting suggestions
-Follow these suggestions if you haven't already updated your audio driver.-
Your audio driver is outdated with a listed date of 2/2/2010. If you feel comfortable attempting an audio driver update, I recommend visiting the website of the system manufacturer of your computer, Dell in this case, to see if there are any available updates for your specific model and setup. Make certain that the date of the driver on the website, is later than the one highlighted in red in this post. If not, then I recommend waiting to see what suggestion/solution that EA will come up with.
In the mean time, you can also check your in-game audio settings in the 'Option' menu under the speaker tab, and try setting your audio quality to 'high' and making sure that you have selected the proper speaker setup for your audio configuration.
*** Please note that you are completely fine if you have already updated to the generic audio driver from the Realtek homepage, I use that driver myself. I am just suggesting a new method that will accommodate users of variable computer skills.
