*I want to start out by saying thank you to Ryhai for taking time out of their day to help people  .
Just so you guys know this is NOT an audio driver update issue. If you can hear all other sounds in game EXCEPT your sim singing that is called an in game BUG. I have my drivers up to date and still have this issue. Outdated drivers won't usually cause ONE thing in your game to not make sound. outdated drivers usually cause sound problems with your computer as a whole.
The symptoms below are generally what an outdated driver will cause (there are many more, but due to space I am only posting a few)...these came from an actual site for drivers for windows.
1. Your computer cannot detect whether you have plugged in an earphone at the green jack or not. Sometimes, your computer will pop out a message that you have plugged in an earphone or speaker.
2. Your computer cannot detect the microphone. There are no messages indicating that a microphone has been plugged in.
3. An installation wizard pops out every time you plug in a microphone or speaker. When you have installed a sound card driver but ended up installing the wrong one, an installation wizard will show because it will ask you to install the correct driver.
4. You cannot hear any sound at all. When you try to play music using your favorite media player, you cannot hear any sound.
On another note, that doesn't mean that you should have outdated drivers. You should check for driver updates weekly. I just don't want you guys to think that this will automatically fix your problem and be disappointed :( .
