Ok strike that. The sound cut out for showtime interactions in the newly built lot regardless :( I have worked out how to save to the main menu - I just leave the lot where the sounds mutes. I'm just going to have to do that whenever the sound dies, until - or if - EA fix the bugs in the next patch.
