Jas777mess Are you trying to access the online part of the game, or the old Sims 3 site? Please go to the latter ( www.thesims3.com ), sign in with your EA account, and see whether the site knows you own the game. If it doesn't, that's something for EA customer support to fix. Specifically, a support rep would need to remove the game from your account and add it back, to (hopefully) get the site to recognize you own it this time around.
I would strongly suggest using the live chat option rather than email. If you don't see it, try this link:
Make sure you're signed into an EA site (this one is fine) before clicking the link and that the location in the lower-right corner of the browser window is set to U.S. or U.K.
Alternately, try using the help site without being signed in. Some categories of issue allow you to proceed without an active login, and many of those offer the live chat option.
I spent $77 on sims 3 games on February 10. but have been having problems with it since i got it. Not having the serial code to register my game so i can access the online features, dragon valley missing from the list of playable worlds so i can access the dragon content i purchased, and for some reason having to repair the file within the EA games app. I love the sims 3, don't get me wrong, but I paid to be able to play the game not have missing content, or buy the original game from EA Games (not ebay, amazon, etc,)but still not be able to access the player made content. I do not have Internet at home, so i can only go online to chat with support at mcdonald's. the last time i tried to chat with customer support by the time they finally reponded to me i had had to end it cause i had to go to work, so they closed the case without it being resolved. this time the chat wouldn't even open to attempt to talk to someone. I am, not sure what to do. At this point i'm leaning towards a refund, but i don't know if they would give it to me cause it's supposed to be requested within 24 hours after launching the game for the first time. im past that, but io did try to contact them to try to find another solution but it never amounted to anything.
Jas777mess Please be more specific about the errors you're seeing right now. You would have needed internet access to install Sims 3 in the first place, so you must have some way of getting at least temporary access on this computer. Please use that to try to launch the game AND to install any Store worlds you own on that site. Then let me know what still needs to be addressed.
The serial code in particular is exactly how I've described it: you don't get one when you buy from EA, and you should already be able to use the Store site. If you can't, and support couldn't help with that exact issue (as opposed to any other issues), please let me know.
So was able to get to the exchange where i can access the player made content, but i can't download anything from it. I get a message telling me to "Upgrade your registration for The Sims 3 community - You must be a game-registered user to use certain community features. Purchase one of our games from your local retailer or by browsing our games page. Already own The Sims 3 game? Please register your game and get full access to the sites features." the "register your game" is a clickable link, which when i click on it, it asks me for the serial number. I am also still not seeing the dragon valley world that i purchased. The EA Games app under manage add-ons it says "in-game content" under the dragon valley expansion pack instead of installed like the other packs. when i looked it up online how to access dragon valley, it said it should show up as a playable world when you go to start a new world. but it is not in the world list. I clicked the link you sent in your first message to access the chat option of the ea games help page but the chat won't open up. it makes a case with a number but all i get is an article about missing content. then whoever reviewed the case marked it as resolved, even though it's not. i still can't find the dragon valley content i purchased.
Jas777mess I tried the EA help link I previously posted just now, and once I signed in, I saw the chat option, with a four-minute wait. If you're not seeing it, change the location in your browser window, as noted, or use a different browser (I used Firefox) or a different device.
And again, you specifically need the Sims 3 Store site to recognize you own the game, which, if it doesn't at the moment, can only be fixed by support.
And you need to register Dragon Valley on that site; it doesn't matter that the EA App knows you own it. Once the site acknowledges you own the base game, you'll be able to register your DV code, if and when you get one, using the Redeem a Code button at the bottom of the page. Then you can download DV from your purchase history and install it through the launcher, and only then will it be available in-game.
