ORIGIN WONT GO ONLINE but the site isn't don

Origin is online, it just won't let me go online. I'm connected to the Internet but it keeps telling be I'm offline. I press the go online button and still nothing. I've tried to uninstall it, restart my computer, and turn off my wifi, I've even reconnected to the wifi. Nothing I've seen on these forums is working for me.

    Did you try starting Origin as administrator as well as turning off firewall and antivirus ?

    Check Origin status, if it's down you'll be stuck wondering what's happening and blaming your computer...
    My game was stuck, I couldn't go online cause servers were down for about 30min at least...

    @rens153 Can I double check what steps you have taken? What anti-virus do you use?

    I don't think it's a virus related thing. I just got my computer and the same thing happened to me. I really would like some answers on how to fix this problem.
