kkseals This laptop should be able to run Sims 3 and 4, all current content included, on high graphics settings, maybe with some settings on ultra. The exact settings you can use without losing performance will depend on your play style and how the laptop is tuned, among other things, and it's fine to tinker with the settings until you get something you like.
Do you want other suggestions? I'm not saying this is a bad choice, but if you'd like to know what else is out there, I can list a few good options. Let me know if you're interested, and in that case, what details matter to you, for example screen size or gaming vs. non-gaming laptop.
Or you can go with this one if it's what you want overall.
For Roaring Heights, what is the issue you're seeing? Transferring from macOS to Windows, you'll definitely need to reinstall all of your Store content, and hopefully that will clear up the issue. Keep in mind that the launcher doesn't handle large amounts of data well, so it's best to install only a few sets at a time, and worlds one at a time, before downloading the next batch.
