Persistent error: "Invalid Login Information. Please try again." - 64-bit SIMS 3
Hello, fellow (Mac) Simmers.
I just ended my 3rd EA chat session of the month regarding this issue with no solution. My online consultant referred me to the forums to report the bug here.
I followed all the recommended troubleshooting tips on the forums and the ones from EA support with no positive results.
The bug:
This occurs on the Mac 64-Bit Sims 3 Update, on the new update MacOS Big Sur.
Once I open The Sims 3 launcher and type in my details, I cannot log in with the error saying: Invalid Login Information. Please try again. (See 1 screenshot attached)
So, I then try to launch my game without logging in. It stops loading at the screen where users are supposed to choose their game to load. (See 2 screenshot) This screen continuously keeps loading to infinity with no results.
(However, I am able to log in the Sims 3 website, Origin and EA.)
Troubleshooting tips I have followed (with no positive results) - adding the links followed:
- I have changed my password a couple of times just to really make sure my credentials were correct.
- I tried logging in through a different Sims 3 account.
- I uninstalled and reinstalled my game.

- and also, reset the Origin app on you Mac https://help.ea.com/en-nz/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/ "

- I disabled my proxies.
