Physical copy of game, can't download onto computer

Hey simmers, I have a physical copy of Sims 3 that I bought not long after it came out. I have played it multiple times, been able to install it onto different devices and it's not been an issue.
Now that everything is through the EA app, I am unable to install it. It is telling me that the code has been used before and cannot be used again. So I am unable to play a game I have paid for since everything has gone online to play.
Has anyone else had this issue and is there any way to resolve it?

    ThatKiddEm95​  If you already registered the code in the EA App, or Origin, or on the old Sims 3 site, you won't be able to use it again.  That's normal.  But it should also appear in the EA App game library for whichever account used that code at the time.  If it's not appearing in this account's library, try to login to the App with any other email address you currently have access to and see whether you can find the game there.  You can click "Forgot your password?" to get a password-recovery email.
