Playing Sims 3 without a CD

Question

I have a damaged CD, that was installed on my computer prior to the damage.&nbsp; I tried to boot SIMS3 from Origin, and it shows as still being able to play however, when I click on the play button it tells me to load a disc.&nbsp; I thought that Origin is supposed allow you to play without a disc, and yes I registered my product code with them a couple years ago.&nbsp; Help, I just bought the MonteVista and its driving me nuts that I cannot play.

You will need to uninstall the disk version and install the download version instead. Simply registering at Origin and continue using the installed disk version doesn't work (cause they have different means of checking if it's a valid copy you're using)
